While you both are often grouped together, we will separate you now so that you will see what we offer each group when you need to make real estate decisions.
Gen X
You are the great wise generation, following the Baby Boomers, and grouped with birth years from 1960 to the late 1970's. You came of age after the Vietnam War and your political experiences were shaped by the end of the Cold War and the fall of the Berlin War.
You are our best hopeful group because you saw the best that America has to offer - all things possible - jobs - men on the moon - and computers - information. You are somewhat nervous about what the future holds but are optimistic because you can solve many problems with our world today. You are working hard, possibly own your own home now or want to purchase, and you may also have kids.
You are more frugal than the Boomers and want a solid future. If you or someone you know is seeking to change lifestyles, here are some questions to help you out:
Is a home purchase in your future?
How will your next home be different than the one you are in?
Do you need assistance in getting a loan?
Do you need solid market data to be sure you are buying or selling right?
These are just a few questions I can assist you with as you and those you know are considering a lifestyle change. Please contact me - I can help!!
Gen Y
The Millennials or Echo Boomers, as you are often called, are the successors to Gen Y. You are often the children of the Boomers, born between 1979 and 1989. You are defined by the events and developments of this time. You are really our Media Generation - plugged into Facebook, Myspace, YouTube, Twitter, IM, email, and texting. Your communications with media have extended the knowledge base for all of your predecessors giving rise to an explosion of blogs, twitters, etc. for all generational groups.
Communication is your trend and you want the best in the workplace. With instant communication, you want answers now. So here are some questions you might want to think about as you go to purchase your first house or condo:
What are the things that are important to me in purchasing a home?
What space do I need?
Can I qualify for a loan?
What are the benefits and costs of purchasing a condo versus a house?
Where are my priorities in terms of locations?
These are just a few questions to help you with. Please contact me so that I can help you with your purchase decisions.
