Lifestyle Changes

Lifestyle changes are a common theme as we move from one stage of our life to another. It is a generational thing that ties us all together as we travel the road of life. Each generation has its own characteristics and housing needs. With this in mind, I have built an information base to assist clients with making their own lifestyle changes.

Gen Y and Gen X, the 20 to 44 age groups are building and changing the world.   Through the demands and consumer preferences, these groups are driving music, creative writing, innovative arts, and business skills. They are leading our world through iPhones, iPods, PDAs, Facebook, Linked In, IM, and CONNECTIONS.  Gen Y and Gen X have very defined housing needs - a market we serve well.

Boomers, the Silent Generation, and the Greatest Generation are all taking on Lifestyle Changes. Boomers are the greatest – ages 45 to 63 and born between 1946 and 1964. They are working hard, wondering if Social Security will last for some of them, amazed when they receive their first notice from AARP, and always seek answers to how they will retire and where will they live. Boomers explore, move, and push boundaries to make life better.

The Silent Generation has been the backbone of our workforce – moving for the better job or for the company, possessing strong family values, home ownership and investment, and the willingness to explore the world. We call the age group from 64 to 79 years the Silent Generation because this group has yet to have one of its own as a U.S. President. They are our savers, preparing for or living an active retirement.

The Greatest Generation, those over 80 years, built our economy during and after World War II. Their needs for community housing, long term care, medical care are important. They have very specific housing and medical needs that are often met through family and specialized housing.
